Free typing practice

Practice is where speed comes from. Pick what you want to work on and type as long as you like. There is no timer, so you can focus on accuracy and rhythm. Your best practice is short and daily: 10 to 15 minutes beats an hour once a week.

Practice modes

  • Words. Random English words, in 25 or 50 word sets. Pick Basic, Pro or Advanced to control how hard the words are.
  • Sentences. Full sentences. Advanced sentences include numbers, prices and symbols.
  • Weak keys. Exercises built from the keys you miss most. The app learns your weak keys from your own typing, in your browser.
  • Custom text. Paste any text, such as names, code or study notes, and type it.

How to practice well

  • Keep accuracy above 95%. If you make many mistakes, slow down.
  • Do not look at the keyboard. Use the on-screen guide if you forget a key.
  • Type in a steady rhythm. Even speed is faster than bursts and pauses.
  • Check the Progress tab once a week to see your weak keys and your streak.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best way to practice typing?

Practice 10 to 15 minutes every day, keep accuracy above 95% and fix the keys you miss most. Short daily sessions beat long ones once a week.

How does weak key practice work?

While you type, the app counts how often you miss each key, in your browser. Weak keys mode builds exercises with the keys you miss most, so you train exactly what slows you down.

Can I practice with my own text?

Yes. Choose Custom text, paste any text up to 1,500 characters and press Use this text. It is useful for names, code, or the kind of writing you do at work.

What do Basic, Pro and Advanced mean?

Basic uses short common words in lowercase. Pro uses all common words with capitals and punctuation, like normal writing. Advanced adds long words, numbers and symbols. Your WPM drops a little at each step, which is normal.
